Article on the compromise proposal of the Cypriot Presidency of 19/11/2012 (Published on 26/11/2012)
Contents:
In an extraordinary meeting on 19 November 2012 the Legal Affairs Committee of the European Parliament („JURI“) has deliberated a compromise proposal of the Cypriot Presidency of the Council with regard to the next steps in terms of the creation of a European unitary patent. In this meeting, from which the public was once more excluded, “overwhelming support” for the proposal is said to have been communicated. A good reason to take a closer look at this compromise. Already upon first sight, the compatibility with the requirements set out by the Legal Affairs Committee itself appears doubtful.
